Meet Terrie Yardley-Nohr, LMT Director of Programming
Terrie Yardley-Nohr has a BS in Healthcare Management and has been a massage therapist for 24 years and graduated from Kaleidoscope school of Massage. While in private practice, she specialized in injury recovery work and has worked in a variety of environments as a therapist.
After graduation, she studied with many well-known educators in the field of massage to help clients that were rehabilitating from injuries and conditions that diminished the quality of everyday living.
For the last 15 years, she has been involved with the education of massage therapists, working with schools and developing curriculum for massage therapy programs. She was Program Director for Anthem College Fenton for 15 years and for the last 5 years was the Curriculum Coordinator for High Tech Institute and 14 of their massage therapy programs around the country. Terrie is a strong believer in the quality and consistency that is offered to students to assure a student’s success in the field of massage.
She was also involved with the American Massage Therapy Association starting at the state level, ending up as the Chapter President for 3 years. While president of the chapter she worked with a small group of members and successfully developed and helped pass the law pertaining to licensure for Massage Therapists in the state of Missouri. She has also served as the National Chapter Relations chair for 5 years with the AMTA, working with chapters and training for officer positions.
Terrie is also the author of the textbook “ Ethics for Massage Therapist” and was a ethics columnist for Massage and Bodywork magazine. Terrie has taught Myofascial classes and Ethics continuing education classes to students in the field.
