HAC's Highest Honor Goes to Five Special Massage therapy Training Program Graduates On December 15, 2017, The Healing Arts Center will hold its second biggest graduation in history. HAC is expected to graduate sixteen massage therapy training program (MTTP) students and twenty-three Advanced Energy Medicine Master Track students. The faculty has selected five of the MTTP students to be inducted into the Order of Twin Hearts, HAC's elite honor society. The Order takes its name from the Meditation on Twin Hearts for World Peace originally taught by Pranic Healing Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.
Order of Twin Hearts inductees are nominated by the faculty. Each faculty member is only given two votes. Inductees must receive nominations from at least two faculty members. Every inductee must have at least 90% original attendance for every class and clinic that they take throughout their education. While the selection criteria is undefined, the faculty nominate students who best represent "the spirit of The Healing Arts Center" meaning that they exhibit compassionate practice of massage therapy and devotion to using their skills for healing. "It takes your breath away to see The Order of Twin Hearts grow each level session with addition of amazing people. They are the best of the best and we are very proud of them", said HAC president, Dave Kenyon. "OTH members completely get what we are doing here and while their sense of service requires them to go last during the graduation ceremony, they will all step out front to lead this profession." Congratulations to our newest Order members and to all our graduates. We are very proud of you and take great solace in knowing that you will be stepping into the world to relieve suffering and promote well being. The Votes Are In, Five Have Been Called On October 6, 2017 the Healing Arts Center will present graduation certificates to fourteen students who have recently completed the school's Massage Therapy Training Program (MTTP). As is the tradition at HAC, each student has overcome their personal challenges required to join the ranks of HAC's unique community of hand healers. No one graduates from HAC without being confronted by something and overcoming it. Personal transformation is the hallmark of HAC education and is considered a necessary quality for those seeking to use massage therapy basis for holistic wellness care.
HAC Announces Eight to Be Inducted Into The Order of Twin Hearts At Graduation on July 28th7/24/2017 The Largest Graduation In School History Will Honor Eight From An Exceptional ClassOn July 28th, 2017, The Healing Arts Center will graduate its largest class in school history. Twenty-four will graduate from the Massage Therapy Training Program MTTP and twenty-three will graduate from the Certified Breathwork Facilitators Program for a total of forty-seven graduates. By nearly every criterion one can imagine, this current class of graduates is outstanding. The MTTP graduates graduating in this group posted the highest per-student original attendance scores ever. They are energetic, compassionate and talented. The Healing Arts Center could not be more proud of them. Eight of them, however, require special acknowledgement for their excellence.
Hessler, Miller, Wells & Wright To Be Honored At GraudationAs The Healing Arts Center prepares for graduation on October 9, the faculty has nominated an unprecedented four outstanding students to be inducted into The Order of the Twin Hearts, HAC's honor society. To be inducted into the Order, a student must be nominated by faculty, exhibit excellent participation in the educational process and represent the highest ideals of the The Healing Arts Center. This session, four such students emerged all of whom were nominated by multiple faculty members and clearly exhibit the best qualities of the school. Five times a year, we reach the end of a term and say good-bye to a graduating class. You would think that the frequency of this rite of passage would make this commonplace, but it does not. These students come in as strangers not always sure why they are here or what the healing arts are really about. During their year with us, something very profound happens. It does not matter if you come into HAC's massage therapy training program with a high school diploma or a PhD (we have both types of students here and everything in between) - everyone leaves transformed.
On July 31, 2015, The Healing Arts Center will once again celebrate the Red Robe Ceremony marking graduation for a new group of massage therapists. At the Red Robe Ceremony, students receive "final transmission" from their teachers, an ancient mystical tradition among Buddhist and Hindu meditators. The ceremony gets its name from the traditional Buddhist "zens", or meditation shawls, worn by the faculty during the rite and the pranic meditation shawls worn by students. It is a reminder to all that every true healing art begins in the heart and mind of the practitioner and not in their physical technique alone. At the Red Robe Ceremony, it has become the custom to present each graduate with a sterling silver medallion in the shape of the heart chakra. This is to remind HAC graduates to put compassion first above all things as they go out into the world and establish their practice. The faculty at The Healing Arts Center, however, if they feel it is appropriate to do so, may nominate certain members of the graduating class for the special honor of The Order of the Twin Hearts. Named after a practice taught by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, a pranic healing grand master and mentor to headmaster Tom Tessereau, the Order of the Twin Hearts is awarded to students who have shown special skill and dedication to the practice of the healing arts.
The Healing Arts Center is pleased to announce that the faculty has nominated two students to receive induction into this most honorable society on July 31. At this summer's Red Robe Ceremony, two outstanding graduates, Carole Schmitt and Maureen Hughes will be inducted into the Order. To commemorate their induction into the Order, both Schmitt and Hughes will be given a second pendant at graduation, a sterling silver medallion in the shape of the crown chakra covered in gold along with the heart chakra medallion. These two chakras together represent the pranic symbol of the Twin Hearts. Both Schmitt and Hughes have evolved, in the eyes of the faculty and staff of the school, to be especially effective massage therapists demonstrating not only prowess in the classroom and clinic, but a particular sense of devotion to the art and to their studies. They are fine examples of the type of healers that are educated a The Healing Arts Center. The faculty and staff of The Healing Arts Center are deeply honored to have had the privilege of educating both Carole Schmitt and Maureen Hughes and we thank them for the fine example that they have set for not only their fellow students, but for anyone aspiring to improve the human condition. Well done! Every tradition starts with a first time. On May 22, 2015, The Healing Arts Center initiated two new graduation traditions at its 2015 May graduation. The first was a new honor society called The Order of the Twin Hearts. This society is designed to honor exceptional students who are nominated by the faculty and certified by the school president. Order of the Twin Hearts recipients must have high academic standards, superior technical skills and exemplary attendance. This term, OTH honors were extended to Rachel Delaney and Laurel Brack.
