HAC to Induct Boehm, Deen, Grant, Niemeyer and Steinhaus Into The Order of Twin Hearts, HAC's Highest Honor. On October 7, 2016 The Healing Arts Center will hold its Red Robe Ceremony to mark the graduation of the most recent class of massage therapists. Part of the HAC tradition is the faculty selection of new inductees to The Order of Twin Hearts, HAC's honor society. Inductees into the Order must be nominated by two or more faculty members as representing the heart and soul of HAC's unique compassion-oriented training. OTH members must also have attended 90% of the curriculum without making up clock hours represent the best of the best in terms of professional skill. The Order of Twin Hearts takes its name from a meditation for world peace and healing created by pranic healing Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, a mentor of HAC headmaster, Tom Tessereau. It is designed to honor those students who represent the profound commitment to compassionate and thoughtful healing and a devotion to excellence in causing wellness in the being of others.
"This term, the selection was particularly difficult", said Headmaster, Tom Tessereau. This is a particularly exceptional class." HAC President, David Kenyon added, "this group was close-knit, committed and quite frankly they all deserve special recognition." Under HAC selection rules, however, each faculty member can only nominate two students. "Only excellent therapists emerge from our program. Our education is transformational. Technical skill alone will not get you through. You have to stretch the boundaries of your own being to make it through our massage therapy program and no one graduates unchanged by this", Kenyon noted. "We push the envelope of consciousness here. We are not interested in technicians; we train a whole other level of healer at HAC. The Red Robe Ceremony is designed to capture the more serious and compassionate nature of HAC education. Students wear meditation shawls to emphasize that HAC is a "consciousness first" school. Every student is taught to meditate and clear their being before engaging the beings of others. Compassion is always the first and last virtue of HAC students and graduates. HAC takes great pride in its graduates and knows that with each graduating class the world becomes a better place. |
