HAC Is Ready To Welcome Its Family Back On January 8 With A Vision Of Wellness For All In The New Year

Group Fist Bump
While students are on winter break, HAC administrators and faculty are at the office to plan for the New Year.

Happy 2018!

2017 is in the past (whew) and it is time to hit the reset button to launch 2018.  The Winter Session starts on January 8th which means that our "healers in progress" will be returning and approximately twenty-five new students will be joining this very special community.   The administrative team has been in the office all this week preparing to make 2018 the best year at HAC ever.

In With The New ...

HAC is expecting a rather large incoming class of nearly twenty-five or more.  As always, the Core Management Group (HAC's administrative body that is simply referred to as "Core") is preparing to make these new students feel welcome and at home.     Faculty members have been busy over the break updating the curriculum.   HAC will be changing over to a new core textbook written by massage legend Sandy Fritz and lesson plans, exams and practicum plans must be rewritten and modified accordingly.  The reception services staff has been tidying the classrooms, refreshing the salt bowls, and restocking the store so that all is ready for the new school year.   Students will have to check out the new luxurious chaise lounge in the clinic lobby that will be used for the newly added Bemer Vascular Therapy being offered in both the Professional and Student Wellness Clinics.

Expanding the HAC Vision for Integrated Wellness in St. Louis

HAC is moving toward a model of integrated wellness care that trains students to be wellness professionals beyond massage therapy alone.  The highlights for the evolution planned for 2018 include:
  • Transformative Breathwork Certification Master Track starting in the Spring Session
  • Advanced Energy Medicine Master Track starting in the Fall One Session
  • The introduction of "Professional Tracks", three weekend massage therapy intensive tracks that are taught in modules and are shorter and less expensive than Master Tracks, starting with the Introduction to Medical Massage Pro Track
  • BEMER Vascular Therapy is now available to all clinic clients
  • Advanced Cancer Clinic training
  • Cancer Care "Meet-ups" where clients can share singing bowl sound therapy or special Reiki training for cancer patients while in a supportive group environment
  • The return of popular workshops like Tummo and Singing Bowl Sound Therapy Training and Dermoneuromodulation
  • Healing community meet-ups and gatherings so that you can hang with your fellow healers and share some life and love
The furnace is on.  It is cozy in our little school under the stairs.  Our resident hawk is guarding the parking lot.  We are ready to welcome our family into an epic new year.  Even if you are not a student or a graduate, you are always welcome to stop in to say hello.  We love visitors.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
