Joe Orf, Rebecca Schmitt and Daniel Watkins Are Given HAC's Top HonorThe 2016 Spring Red Robe Ceremony will be held on March 11. While this graduating class is rather small by HAC standards, it will not be without its share of outstanding graduates. Three in particular, have been nominated by the faculty to receive the school's highest honor, induction in to the Order of Twin Hearts. Each of these OTH inductees has demonstrated their therapeutic skills, their openness to compassion and a commitment to bring healing and well-being to others in their own unique ways. The Order of Twin Hearts is HAC's honor society that was designed to acknowledge outstanding achievement in the study and practice of massage therapy as a healing modality. It was given its name by HAC headmaster, Tom Tessereau, who chose the named based on a meditation for world peace developed by his Pranic Healing Grand Master and mentor, Choa Kok Sui. To be inducted into OTH, one has to be nominated by at least two faculty members. Faculty members can only nominate two candidates in any given graduating. OTH members must also have attended at least 90 percent of the course hours without absence or make-up hours.
In addition to the sterling silver heart chakra pendant that all HAC graduates receive at graduation, members of the Order will receive an additional gold pendant representing the crown chakra. In the Twin Hearts meditation developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, the term "Twin Hearts" is a reference to these two chakras. Congratulations Joe, Rebecca and Daniel. We are very, very proud of you! |
