You May Not Notice, But Angels Are Watching Over You At HAC

No one walks into HAC, not students, clients, faculty or administrators without receiving assistance from at least one of them.  The HAC Reception Services Team is friendly, helpful, and hardworking.  Whether they are checking clients in and out for appointments in the holistic wellness clinic, answering questions on the phone, or selling students snacks from the store, the Reception Services Team has one mission:  be helpful.  And they are, every day of the week, every month of the year.

While everyone in the HAC universe has received contribution from these pleasant compassionate people, not everybody knows who our guardian angels are.

Meet the people who make HAC tick.

Picture

Eryn Cochran

Eryn is the senior member of the Healing Arts Center  Reception Services Team (RST). She started in March of 2015.  What she loves about HAC is all of the students that she gets to meet as a member of RST. In the summertime, you will likely find her at the Renaissance Faire tending a booth when she's not at the Healing Arts Center supervising the reception team.  Eryn by the way, just gave birth to a baby girl, Gwendolyn, on February 28.

Maureen "Mo" Costello

Mo began working at The Healing Arts Center in October of 2015.  Her favorite thing about HAC is that "it's an environment that supports my life and where I want to be. I've learned so much here and I have teachers, mentors, and friends here. I've met so many people who were students and it's really created a sense of community for me."
When Mo is not helping people at the reception desk, she is teaching yoga classes and sound therapy sessions, or in teacher training for the 500 hour yoga certification.  She is the mother of two daughters, 9 and 12, and the family has two dogs.  Mo cannot do without music and loves to travel with her friends to concerts and festivals.  "For me, life is about being happy and helping people."

Sam Brda

Sam graduated from the HAC's Massage Therapy Training Program in October of 2015 and started working at the reception services desk in February of 2016.  She is also a therapist in HAC's Graduate and Professional Clinics.   In her free time, she likes going to hear live music and has a variety of taste in genres. She is also an avid football fan.  She says her favorite part of working at HAC is the people.  "I work with the most amazing people I've ever met," she explained, and added, "Also, interacting with students and seeing them transform from when they enroll to when they graduate."

Brittney Atkinson

Brittney graduated from the Massage Therapy Training Program and Energy Medicine Master Track in December of 2017, but not before she joined RST in October. Like Sam, Brittney also practices massage therapy in the Graduate and Professional Clinics.  Brittney is particularly dedicated to healing victims of emotional trauma and promoting restoration of health and well-being. “I’m excited to give back to the school,” she says.

Cassie Pope

Just this year, HAC welcomed Cassie to RST!  She began working for the Healing Arts Center in February of 2018.  Cassie is currently a student in the Massage Therapy Training Program.  What draws her to being at HAC is that there are "so many people that want to be of service in the same place."  When she is not at the HAC reception desk or in class, Cassie practices yoga and enjoys spending time outdoors with her 5-year-old daughter.  They love to go hiking, bike riding, and swimming together.  She is interested to "learn and practice the ways that we can help each other be the healthiest and brightest we can be."
