Born and raised in the quaint and character-filled river town of Alton, Illinois, she graduated from Marquette High School in Alton, as one of five valedictorians in her class. Right out of high school, Sharon attended nursing school and then worked as a registered nurse for close to ten years. Working with children with cystic fibrosis at St. Louis Children’s Hospital was dear to her heart because she learned a lot about life and what it means to live in the moment and appreciate each day.
Eventually moving on from nursing, Sharon spent her adult life exploring and living in many locations across the United States and continuing her education. She studied psychology, math, education, communications and physics at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL and graduated magna cum laude. A lover of humanity, Sharon has gained valuable knowledge and experience through her encounters with people from every walk of life. Throughout her travels she always felt a pull to return to her home town and in 2007 she moved back to Saint Louis.
Sharon graduated from The Healing Arts Center in 2016. Transformed and beginning a new leg of her journey, Sharon became a member of the HAC administrative team. Sharon is also a grateful mother of two sons and enjoys participating in the local salsa dance community.
