Massage therapists are requested to treat a variety of conditions everyday in their practice. Evaluating conditions and providing effective treatment protocols is one of the most challenging aspects for therapists today.
This is a valuable class to add many tools and techniques to a therapist’s toolbox.

Workshop Details:

What to Bring: Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes. Also, wear or bring yoga pants or shorts, and tshirt for postural assessment.
Bring linens for both days, face cradle covers, and materials for taking notes.
Schedule:
Saturday, June 22 9am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)
Sunday, June 23 9am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)
In this class, therapists will learn how to evaluate and treat the following conditions: Whiplash injuries, low back pain syndromes and carpal tunnel. A variety of techniques and applications will be taught to address these conditions and provide effective outcomes for clients.
Scar tissue evaluation and treatment will also be taught in this class. Techniques such as myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy and muscle energy techniques will be used as part of the treatment protocol as well as working intuitively with a client’s tissues. Myofascial unwinding will also be demonstrated and practiced during the class.

About The Instructor: Terrie Yardley-Nohr
Terrie Yardley-Nohr graduated from Kaleidoscope School of Massage in St. Louis 27 years ago. Terrie had a private practice specializing in injury recovery work in her early career, while also working at a prestigious pain center and with chiropractors here in St. Louis.
Terrie is the author of Ethics for Massage Therapists, a book for students in massage school and has also authored a number of articles in the field of massage. She has served at the state and national level in positions for the American Massage Therapy Association and currently serves on the National Board of the Alliance of Massage Therapy Educators. |
Terrie realized early in her career the need for further education and skills to help treat clients with injuries. She has had the privilege of working and training with many of the top educators in the country and feels that is important for students today to add valuable skills to their practice to help their clients.
