Reiki for Everyone Continues to Bring Compassionate Touch to Our Community

The last weekend of this month, the Healing Arts Center will be offering a two day workshop called "Reiki for Everyone."  This course is being offered to the general public to promote compassion and wellness in our community.  It is based on the same material that is taught to our massage therapy students in our Reiki One class, but "Reiki for Everyone" will be taught without any need for massage therapy training.  Reiki is considered to be a powerful tool for transformation and internal development.  Participants will learn to deliver a basic Reiki treatment which can help create a loving connection and help provide well-being to friends and family.

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that anyone can learn. It is great for relieving anxiety and stress, promotes compassion and gives both the recipient and the body worker access to whole consciousness.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.  The Reiki process is a meditation on healing, and also unconditional love, and as a result, Reiki has a profound impact on both the giver and receiver of the treatment.  Reiki is based on the principle that the practitioner can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate natural healing processes of the patient's body, also restoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being.

Reiki can be a complementary therapy to traditional medicine for those with serious illnesses like cancer, and also is beneficial to those with other kinds of illnesses, anxiety, and depression.  Reiki is a simple way to practice a real and meaningful act of compassion on any living thing.  Reiki also benefits the practitioner by giving them a practical way to promote healing and help those around them, connecting human beings together with unlimited compassion and caring.

"Reiki for Everyone" will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 9am-5pm and Sunday, May 1 from 1pm-5pm on the HAC campus.  The instructor will be Reiki Master Tom Tessereau, who is truly a master instructor in this healing art.  Tom will teach students how to perform a Reiki treatment, and at the same time he will convey to participants what he has learned from over twenty years of experience in practice and teaching of healing arts.  This course is perfect for couples, friends, co-workers, and family members alike.  Join us for an enjoyable weekend of discovery and healing!
