HAC To Run 3 Clinics At LouFest Including One On The VIP Footprint
HAC Mobilizes Students And Graduates To Touch The Festival on Sept 10 & 11
It was a busy week last week at The Healing Arts Center. A call came in from Boston from one of the promoters of LouFest - "would you guys be willing to provide massage services at the festival?" Oh, yeah. But like many things HAC, it is go big or stay home. After calls and emails with Boston and Chicago during the week and the weekend, HAC has agreed to provide three massage clinics in three separate locations on the LouFest footprint. One of these will be in the VIP area.
The clinics will run from noon until 8:00 p.m. each day on September 10 and 11. This means that HAC will be assembling six (6) massage teams. About fifty (50) HAC volunteers will work the festival. Each team will have a 10 x 20 clinic space with four (4) massage chairs and a massage table. That's right, we are going all-in and doing full body massage and Reiki at the festival. The VIP clinic will have four (4) chairs and two (2) tables. Each clinic will be managed by an HAC registered clinic instructor and an HAC staff manager. We are even in the process of making 200 bottles of a special LouFest Reiki spray to give to guests along with gift certificates for free massages at the HAC Student Clinic.
Over the years, LouFest has been growing in prestige nationally as a major concert destination. While not yet at the level of Bonaroo or Coachella, it is getting there. Tens of thousands will be on hand this year to hear Chris Stapleton and Lauryn Hill perform along with The Kills, Chicano Batman and The Sleepy Rubies, among others.
Volunteers will be given staff credentials giving them access to the festival. More importantly, this is an opportunity to introduce The Healing Arts Center to thousands of people who might just become the city's next hand healers.
Stop by and see us at LouFest. This is going to be epic!
