Massage Therapist
Summary:  The Massage Therapist will apply a range of therapeutic massage techniques in order to relieve pain and increase range of motion.  They will provide hands-on care to improve the clients well being.
Supervisory Responsibilities:  None
Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Conduct intake consultation to assess client expectations/needs, asks questions related to pain or discomfort.  Update medical histories as necessary and appropriate to the scope of treatment.
• Create a treatment plan containing fulfillment of 30-60-90 minutes massage within the scope of practice.
• Provide a relaxing environment and conversation during treatment to ensure comfort with pressure levels and techniques applied.
• Arrange table linens, take SOAP notes, schedule appointments, conduct exit conversation and minor cleaning between clients.
• Organize online schedule, make/return phone calls, send emails, perform social media updates and collect payments.

Skills: 

• Excellent verbal/written communication
• Perform variety of massage modalities (deep tissue, Swedish, Trigger Point and Myofascal).
• Computer knowledge for social media and photo posting to generate company visability online.
• Clean and well kept appearance
• Perform other required duties as assigned.

Education/Licensure:  High school diploma or equivalent, proof of successful completion of accredited LMT training program, proof of active Missouri Massage License.  Must have active Liability insurance.

Physical Requirements:    Able to stand for prolonged periods while providing massage, must have necessary arm, hand and finger dexterity to provide massages, occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Environment:  Employment is usually located in an air conditioned facilty, well lighted, clean and sanitary and easily accessible.
